The Osun State Government has banned the Olu of Ile-Ogbo, Oba Abeeb Adetoyese Agbaje, from participating in land transactions within his domain.

The state government maintained that the directive became necessary to curtail frequent land grabbing allegations levelled against the monarch within Ileogbo and surrounding villages. According to the commissioners, “He was banned from participating in land transactions and using any of his palace cronies to engage in forceful acquisition of citizens’ land.

“Aside from numerous newspaper publications, we have received petitions against the Palace and office of the Olu of Ile-Ogbo, HRM Oba Abeeb Adetoyese Agbaje Arowo Okunjoye II for forceful land acquisition and sales.

Kaduna State Government Records Eight Deaths From Diphtheria Amid 68 Suspected Cases | Sahara ReportersThe Kaduna State government has disclosed that it has recorded eight deaths from diphtheria and 68 suspected cases. The Director of Public Health at the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Hamza Ibrahim-Ikara, who disclosed this on Tuesday in an interview in Kaduna, the state capital said that the suspected cases were from four local government areas including Makarfi, Kubau, Jema’a (Kafanchan) and Kaduna North. Ibrahim-Ikara added that for the recorded deaths, five were from Jema’a and three from Makarfi.
