, reported that, “Nigerians on Twitter have reminded the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, not to forget his promise of helping to end the perennial traffic situation on the Apapa Expressway in Lagos.”Many of us are of an analytical bent.

On what basis then would anyone seek to remind Osinbajo about what does not amount to a well-thought-out promise? Simply because he made it? It was all politics. Are we so bereft of self-respect considering that we failed to point out the sheer emptiness of those public pronouncements? Backed by nothing, even on paper.

The way out is for Nigeria, or preferably, Lagos State to build three double-track standard gauge railway lines originating from Apapa/Tin Can Island and radiating outwards, terminating as follows:2) A point equidistant from Abeokuta and Sagamu Junction on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

It must be clear that Osinbajo and his team, apart from being essentially blank, are clearly impervious to good advice.- aptly put

When Mr. is busy distributing 5k up and down.

The VP is not a traffic officer, it is the duty of Lagos State government to clear Apapa gridlock.

'This is not the first time, certainly not the second and in fact, this is about the third or the fourth time in my government that we are trying to see how we bring better solutions to Apapa gridlock'.__Sawanolu

Punch is a totally useless paper and they editors are knucklehead who doesn't do any research. Lagos is now in charge of this Apapa road

Since you people want to be unfortunate

Do you truly expect a party that denies its campaign promises to do otherwise?

Sebi na traffic police... Sanwo Olu promise this same he didn't achieve it not to talk of person living in abuja

Like how many yrs now?

The leadership have failed it's citizens and the citizens have failed themselves No one is accountable for anything No one is held accountable for anything It all resulted to a failed state A state with zero dignity and respect for regulations n rule of law It's a shame

This is a ticking time bomb which will eventually happen, if we talk now some pple go talk say we nor get brain How could u av allowed such congregation of Tankers lined up on a bridge all shoulder to shoulder Like I said it's negligence and not valuing human lives

Hushibajo the fake Pastor is busy sharing 5k to lift 20million people out of Poverty

This gridlock can never have a solution as long as the Govt. doesn't open up other ports in the South-South!

jeffphilips1 can't remember lailai..... Silly fellow!

If water pass gari, nko? You dey try jo, in a situation where many within the system flagrantly & with impunity flout the laws they set up, together to govern ALL OPERATIONS, BUT FLOUTED BY TEENAGERS WITH 'Dan Bro Baa' Unevenly applied law/s, ar worse than No Laws. INDISCIPLINE

Is there anything they promised and fulfilled till date....the answer is NO....even the ones we have before have disappeared under same APC government NigeriaGov

Sensationalist Punch Newspaper knows this truth about the present state of things regarding the Apapa gridlock, but they prefer to make a story they need out of it, so as to smear the name of ProfOsinbajo, rather than educate the public properly on it.

I believe that as a Professor of Rhetoric, Osinbajo fulfilled his role.

What miracle is he going to perform if lagos is the only port serving entire country. Other port should work if we are serious in this country

This report is mischievous and misleading mobilepunch see the Apapa gridlock: Lagos to take over operations of Presidential taskForce On port decongestion👇

has come again with their stupidity. As a whole media house, are you not aware that the Federal Government withdrew the presidential taskforce after Osinbajo did his job and handed over to the state government to maintain?

Punch is only good in the toilet CONFIRMED.

What a misleading and mischievous headline ! Poor journalism gathered lazy individuals who can't research nor edit. struggling to resucitate relevance.

The Lagos State Government toke over from the Presidential Taskforce on Port Decongestion and create a new operational template for the taskforce. For how long would continue to bare with always mischievous and misleading

Nigeria is a crazy country run by bad vision-less leaders. They create the poverty we see with bad inefficient policies. The port alone can create 10m jobs if managed properly.

He will, calm down. After he gets 20 million Nigerians out of poverty, with 5k to start akara business.

You know a simple google search would have shown you that the Lagos State govt has taken over from the Presidential Taskforce on Port Decongestion & has created a new taskforce But what then is your use when the public still has to do the research for you

SodiqTade 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Has Punch ever publish this when Osinbajo's team was in charge of Apapa?

This mischief or brown envelope journalism must stop. Is Punch not having the latest and correct information?

I think The Punch needs to change purpose from being a media house to becoming a rumor house.

Osinbajo will handle the economy. Lmao!

The call-up system introduced by the Osinbajo-led team had been effective in the movement of trucks and other vehicles within Apapa The ongoing road constructions in Lagos & within Apapa environs was/is responsible for the recent slow pace of movement.

Punch with their campaign of calumny. There is no traffic in Apapa except for the ongoing construction in and around Apapa.

Take your time and go through this link below 👇

he was there in 2018, he gave them 3 weeks to vacate the place, they did. Shortly afterwards, their return was worse. the place is a nightmare for car owners and pedestrians.

This is junk journalism at its peak where were you when the FG handed over the Management to LASTMAN? I wonder where journalism is heading to in this country, All this tissue paper media outlets ain’t allowing us know the true journalism self.

Nigeria.

One of the things that can give me joy is to see that Punch is closed down because the only thing they are known for is fake news and lies. This is not journalism at all

Punch and mischievousness with their headline to draw traffic is unfortunate. Punch is actually living on past glory,g raduating from the most widely read newspaper to the most ridiculous newspaper. Stakeholders laud Osinbajo’s team on Apapa gridlock

With the Presidential Taskforce, normalcy has since returned on the axis with the disappearance of trucks and tankers on the bridges and roads on Ikorodu road, Iganmu road and other axis leading to Apapa.

Punch editors don't research into anything aside BBN, completely useless paper Lagos to take over operations of Presidential Taskforce on Port Decongestion. . .

If Punch doesn't want to do their role in pushing the truth forward, I'll show them other newspapers that they can emulate. The Presidential Taskforce have completed their task there, why blame Osinbajo.

Punch always like to be useless as always instead of finding out the lastest news on Apapa gridlock before posting this kind of garbage they won't. The Federal Government has handed over the responsibility of managing trucks and other vehicles to the Lagos State government.

🚮🚮🚮

This is not the duty of VP Osinbajo to go and end gridlock on any road, we have the NPA traffic mgrs, police, FRSC, lastma etc to do that. The govt has done it's bit. Our people are just lawless!

Oduche Azih is not only a lazy writer but also a mischievous one owing to the first paragrah credited to SaharaReporters, one of the most useless news medium around. A simple google search would enlighten Oduche & that Apapa mgt is now back to Lagos State Govt.

Punch and mischievous reporting should be thrashed. Apapa gridlock: Lagos took over operations of Presidential Taskforce on Port Decongestion. The governor said that the new task force would be a combined team of officers of LASTMA and the police.

This is not journalism, it is an agenda. Only an untruthful set of people will decide to write this kind of lie. Plus, the Presidential Taskforce have finished their work in Apapa and handed over to the Lagos state govt.

They cant fulfill any promise.

This mischievous and unprofessional media again, can a Rome built in a day and moreso this picture is old because I was at Apapa few days ago and nothing of such

Do we even hv a president in this country let alone vice president....noise everywhere..

Fun fact, you can see Apapa gridlock from space.

Don't mind these people jare....bunch of animals

They are not interested in the others ports around the south working so let them do the magic to end the Apapa gridlock....we are watching.

Buhari and his APC government has never fufiled any promise. They are a waste and have wasted almost six years going round circles. This government will be remembered as the worst in the history of Nigeria both military and civilian.

Pls help Rt🙏 I make good quality palm slide at the rate of 8,000 ( pre-order 5 work days) DM/WhatsApp:- 07054338486 Nationalwide delivery 🚚🚚🚚

Apapa and Amuwo are eyesores. The terrains look like waste lands with dry ports inside estates occupied by people. Barriers removed from roads for trucks' chaotic activities. Town planning failures everywhere. The environment is in a terrible state to state the least.

How can invisible person fulfill promises...🤔🤔😎

The trademark of APC led FG. One of the litanies of unfulfilled promises. Fuel price will be N45 and here today it is N160

Name on thing that he'd fulfilled?

He is busy sharing 5k to Nigerians

Let's follow each other. Follow me I follow u back immediately, we grow together. Unfollow me if I don't follow back.

nnekei Abeg, I never wake. Make una no start 🤣

He's busy lifting 20m Nigerians out of poverty.

Audio promises from him all the time.
