Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has described the late Chairman of the Elders Council of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Captain Joseph Din as an extraordinary individual, patriot and a worthy confidant of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari .The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, disclosed this on Saturday in a statement titled, ‘Capt. Joseph Din was a patriot, elder statesman who believed in a united Nigeria – Osinbajo.
The Vice President was quoted as saying that the late Din believed in the rule of law and was always on the side of justice and fairness. “He was a friend of our President, President Muhammadu Buhari, who described him as a trusted and worthy ally of many years. “The reason I’m sure that he described him as such is because he was objective, balanced and fair-minded, and because that was his friend who was never afraid to tell him the truth, and he did on many occasions.”
