The Katsina Emirate Council on Tuesday said it had not banned open grazing of animals in the council and surrounding communities.The clarification was contained in a statement on Tuesday by the Secretary of the council, Alhaji Bello Ifo .

The statement read in parts, “We are to notify you that Katsina Emirate Council has no right to ban the open grazing of animals within the Katsina metropolis and its surrounding communities. That law comes from the Government..
