One of the students abducted by bandits who attacked the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, in Kebbi State, has been killed.
He, however, added that five others including four students and a teacher were rescued during a gun battle with the bandits. SaharaReporters had earlier reported that a female student of the school, who escaped the attack on the school on Thursday, says she doesn’t think the gunmen are Nigerians.
In any gun duel btw criminal elements and authority, collateral loss is mostly inevitable but of paramount importance is to reduce it to a minimal figure. Nigerians must learn to be balance and objective in their criticism.
