Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, says the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State is becoming strange and frightening. Chidoka said he had earlier written months back about the similarity that exists between the Action Group Crisis in the defunct Western Region and the unfolding altercation in Rivers State.

DAILY POST reports that Nyesom Wike, Minister of the FCT, and the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has been entangled in a political crisis. The face-off between the duo has polarised the state House of Assembly into two camps. Fubara has now declared his intention to probe Wike's eight years administration.

He said: 'Rivers State Altercation: the parallel between Rivers State and Western Nigeria's 1962 crisis is getting uncanny, almost spooky. I wrote months back about the similarity between the Action Group Crisis and the unfolding Rivers altercation 'In 1962, Dr Majekodunmi, Sole Administrator of the Western Region, set up the Coker Panel of Inquiry into the Affairs of Certain Parastatals. The Panel found Awolowo guilty and exonerated Akintola.
