Although the coronavirus pandemic has halted the loud celebration planned for the day, the Birthday Celebrations Planning Committee, headed by a former National President of the Association of Nigerian Authors , Professor Remi Raji-Oyelade, however, will entertain select guests in-doors.
Professor Raji-Oyelade, who is also the Mogaji of the Adegboro Family of Kudeti Area, Ibadan, looks forward to giving Oloye Alabi a grand celebration. Oloye Alabi, the Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland, is the first Culture Ambassador of the National Museum and Monument, Ile Ife, Osun State. Expressing delight to his family members and well-wishers on his plans for his 70th birthday celebrations, Oloye Alabi said: “I have been praying to God, long before now, to witness this day. My enthusiasm for a landmark Thanksgiving to God on my 70th birthday is leveraged on God and the prevailing conditions in Nigeria and the world. In God I trust.”
