SENATOR Ned Nwoko representing Delta North senatorial district at the National Assembly Wednesday met with the chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, to seek the release of the traditional ruler of Ewu- Urhobo kingdom, detained following the killing of 17 soldiers on a peace mission in Okuama community located in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.

Moved by the plight of the traditional ruler and the need for lasting peace in the affected community,Senator Ned Nwoko accompanied by two other senators fromappealed for the release of the traditional ruler as “his continued detention risks exacerbating tensions within Delta”
