THE second son of late Lady Adanma Okpara and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State, Chief Uzodinma Okpara, on Tuesday disclosed how his mother died and her real age.
Okpara explained further that contrary to media reports, his mother died at the age of 99 and not 97 years ascribed to her. According to him, his mother was the pillar behind his father’s success as the Premier of Eastern Nigeria, which was the fastest growing economy in the world then. “She lived full and accomplished life. She was a politician and campaigned with her husband and was a great mobiliser of men and women, and a philanthropist”.
