He urged those appointed to various positions to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication and hard work and learning from the wealth of experience of the governor for inspiration. Earlier, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Dr. Mike Omenugha, had said the appointment of the youth into positions of responsibility would help to build their self-confidence in administration and enable them to become role models.
Omenugha called on other South-East governors to emulate Soludo’s approach to governance and to effectively harness the potential of youths to build a better future for the region as well as bring permanent solution to the challenge of youth’s restiveness. No fewer than 21 young persons were recently appointed transition committee chairmen in the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
