The traditional rulers in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun State have called on the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, to immediately sack the transition chairman of the local government, Femi

Onanuga.

Ogunye, who said he was speaking on behalf of all the traditional rulers in Ogun Waterside, was accompanied by the Osobia of Imakun-Omi, Oba Kazeem Salami; Onirokun of Irokun Kingdom, Oba Buari Ola Balogu; and Elefire of Ifire, Oba Musa Adeniyi. The State House of Assembly had last week confirmed the extension of 18 transition chairmen of the local government councils effective from July 19, 2020, but the confirmation of the Chairman of Remo North, Biodun Somoye, and Onanuga were stepped down.

The monarch however appealed that the governor should not allow Onanuga finish his tenure as the transition chairman of the local government.
