“There are mothers that are actually giving their children sanitisers to drink.”

The state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, who disclosed this at a press conference in Abeokuta, the state capital, said that the new case was one of the 32 contacts of the third patient, a 62-year-old man who recently returned from the United Kingdom .

The commissioner raised the alarm that some mothers in the state were giving their children hand sanitisers to drink to protect them against contracting Coronavirus. Meanwhile, it was partial lockdown in Sango area of the state yesterday, as several trucks were trapped at the tollgate border between Lagos and Ogun State.

Already, the toll-gate has been barricaded by security officials, while other routes into the state, such as Ikola Road, Navy Road, Agbara, among others, have been shut to traffic.
