The Ogun State Government said the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state has risen to 1005.
Ogun crossed the 1000 line on Sunday night when the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said 31 new cases were discovered in the state. According to the state government, one person was discharged in the state on the same day, making a total of 637 recovered cases so far. DAILY POST learned that there are 347 active cases being managed at the moment in the state, as 21 persons have reportedly died.
“On the 5th of July, 2020, 31 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ogun State, bringing above a thousand to 1005, the total number of confirmed cases since the index case was reported in February.
