Some residents and commuters using the Ilisan-Ago Iwoye Road in Ogun State have decried the deplorable state of the road.

They alleged that the road had been in a poor state for over 13 years, adding that the government had been unable to complete it.

He stated, “It’s a shame that for over 15 years, the Ogun State Government has failed to complete the road that leads to a prestigious university in the state. So many students and lecturers pass through that road to their school and every time they commute on the road, their lives are at risk. There was a time I was coming from Lagos to Ago Iwoye and the bus almost ran into the small bridge on the road; if not for God that day, I would have been dead or crippled.

He said, “I am a truck driver and I can tell you that the road is terrible. The government keeps telling us not to worry that they will fix it, yet they haven’t done anything about it. Whenever I’m called to take products from the Remo to the Mamu Market, I get angry because I know I would have to pass through that road.

A resident of Ago Iwoye, Mrs Folashade Awobajo, said the road had affected her business and that of her husband, because commuting on it had been very challenging and expensive. She begged the Abiodun administration to come to the aid of the community and fix the road.

This road is worst... They keep patching and patching everytime. It time to fix it permanently.

Gov. Dapo is performing excellently-woefully ! Confusion

This road is probably worse than that leading to hell... Motorists spend 2hours+ on a 10-15min drive.

The construction of that road started during OGD Administration, then The SIA Administration inherited the project and did nothing to complete the project and now The Dapo Abiodun led Administration is doing nothing to revive the abandoned project.

Wow is this a state or a federal road ..?

Don't lament o, cos when election comes again and you are being given a loaf of and N500, you vote back in the same governor and government

SIAmosun made a lot of promises during his 8 years in office nothing was done, same as Gbenga Daniel and for sure Dapo Abiodun will follow their footsteps..

This are too much
