Some residents of Ode Omi community in the Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun State have accused the council Caretaker Chairman, Mr Femi Onanuga, of plotting to force a traditional ruler on

them.

Opele was also said to have decried the poor economic activities in Ode Omi, blaming the situation on the violation of the culture and traditions of the community. He asked the state Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, to prevail on the council chairman not to rewrite the tradition of the area.

Onanuga, however, faulted Opele’s claim of deaths and diseases in the community, saying they were lies.
