SEVERAL members of the All Progressives Congress in Abeokuta-North Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Tuesday, staged a protest over the alleged imposition of Adebayo Ayorinde as the chairmanship candidate of the party.
Some of the protesters stormed the State Secretariat of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Oke – Ilewo, Abeokuta on Tuesday to register their displeasure. Spokesperson for the protesters, Alhaja Fayidat Akintunde, while addressing the media on behalf of the group, alleged that some of the party’s leaders compromised the selection process by inducing delegates.
