Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, will on Friday, July 16, 2021, unveil the Clean Nigeria: Use The Toilet campaign to drive sanitation and end open defecation in the state.

A statement issued by the Director, Administration and Supplies, Small Town and Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, Eigbe A. Endurance, said Obaseki would launch the campaign at the Government House, Benin City.

Eigbe said the state government has continued to provide more schools, markets, health centres in rural communities with clean water and toilet facilities that would make the environment safe for residents across the state. The Obaseki-led administration collaborated with the United Nations Children’s Fund in deepening the impact of projects executed through the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programme to ensure sustainable sanitation in the state.
