Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday engaged in commercial tricycle business as he rode and picked a male passenger around the Kuto area of Abeokuta.

A statement by Mr Kehinde Akinyemi, Special Assistant to Obasanjo on Media, stated that he rode from his Pent House residence at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library , through Kuto area, amidst greetings and jubilation from shocked onlookers along the road.

“When I recently gave out tricycles to 85 young people across the nation, I received some feedback that they were sort of inappropriate gifts and some wondered if they were the best and suitable for young people. “There is nothing wrong with young people starting small. The Keke is secure and safe when handled professionally and with discipline.

“If you are able to get a second one, you can give that to someone else. So you become self-employed and you have also employed somebody.

Was he self employed before he became the president?

Is that the kind of employment he got as a youth? Nigeria is full of insane elders.

Obasanjo should go and rest, what did he do for the youths when he was in power. Nigerian politicians are always geniuses when they are not in power.

He's a foolish man for doing so, because he could have built factory 🏭 that will employ more people and not by him riding a tricycle will persuade the youth on self employment, does any of his children or grand children drives tricycle? Please be careful with your publications
