In a statement signed by some of the past presidents, they said Adesina had been doing a remarkable job in steering the organisation.
“The bank has been doing a lot for women, with a $3bn fund to provide access of finance to women, supported by G7 countries and Africa.” Also, the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria on Friday condemned a recent call for an external investigation into the allegations against Adesina, saying such foreign influence amounted to imperialism and colonialism.
“We sense an outright breach and violation of a process which may disrupt activities of the bank if allowed to fester.
This is total rubbish and a waste of time. I have never seen a set of persons that is as hypocritical as an African leader. Why are we handicapped to the west to begin with, & keep running to them for help, is because
we are underdeveloped due to this leaders both passed & present failure & inability to invest on it's people, by promoting & investing in education(vocational & technical training), justice, accountability, equity&fairness, and eradicate corruption,
impunity, democracy, and nepotism. Development cannot happen in the hands of inresponsible leaders & in the absence of human development. Interestingly, this is something that can be done because we're crazy it is not done. This is not rocketscience China which we all borrow
money from did it, and they were in worse situation than ours 40/50years ago. Adesina should face independent investigation if their is nothing to hide. The points enumerated above is the rights & most effective way to tell the West & the world that we can be independent
