Obasanjo: Government appointments based on nepotism, mediocrity — not merit | TheCable

January 29, 2023 9:28 PM

While speaking on the subject of unity in Nigeria, Obasanjo expressed concern about the current state of affairs in the country. “As I stated in the letter; ‘If we fall prey again, we will have ourselves to blame and no one can say how many more knocks Nigeria can take before it tips over. To be forewarned is to be fore-armed.’ Of course, I pray that Nigeria will never tip over. We must constantly work at it and pray.“My worry is premised on a number of issues. First, I am concerned that the current state of our nation’s economy has widened the gulf of inequality and left many people in despair.

The former president said the concerns raised about the presidential candidates are real, adding that Nigerians would have themselves to blame if they do nothing about the situation.

That's why we are stuck in one place without progress. Everything about the present government has gone in a family way.

And also 'Girlfriendism'! We remembered!

Cautious of moles in disguise in the system sabotaging govt efforts.

see who is talking? as if he was a good leader

Y'all need to read the Caption again and slowly... Take note of punctuations

Is not too good but still the best we ever had.

Big lie!

Why are you people lying? Did you see loopsidedness in it? He's one of the best president too Nigeria has ever produce. Stop the hate.

Even the yoruba's will not allow you to deceive, but you can only deceive the people that easily forgot their past and they use their future to Cruise 😅😅😅

I agree with him in this regard

No kidding...

buhari will be remember as a good example of nepotism and mediocrity.

Na now u know ?

Like attracts like...

Hear SPV talking!

We only talk about Nepotism because we want to join a sector that doesn't produce anything but consume 70% of annual budget. Why are people not talking about Nepotism in the private sector?😀. The only way to address Nepotism is to make the public sector unattractive. Period.

That one na old story na, for long we have seen it

So y didn't he correct all these when he had d chance
