The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has suspended six functionaries for allegedly presented themselves as the palace's emissaries before the Ooni of Ife in a function.
reports that a statement signed by Chief Sam Igbe, Iyase of Benin kingdom and made available to newsmen in Benin City named the suspended palace functionaries as Johnbull Igbinosun, Iduhonre , S.E. Aigbiremwen, Efesieoghoba . Sam Igbe, who signed the statement on behalf of the Benin Traditional Council, BTC, also listed Ogbeide Osagie and Osamudiame Edo among the suspended functionaries.
