The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Maj.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, has appealed to employers to accept corps members posted to them.
The DG, represented by the Adamawa coordinator of the NYSC, Malam Ibrahim Tukur, said the corps employers were expected to accord priority to corps members’ welfare, in the provision of an enabling environment to adequately utilise their potentials. “As you set to report to your places of primary assignment, I wish to stress the need for you to be diligent in the performance of your duties.
The DG noted that, as white-collar jobs were too crowded and far-fetched, corps members should endeavor to, in addition to their academic specialties, integrate their entrepreneurial skill-set, and to harness these skills in helping to develop host communities.
