The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has allegedly blamed the recent union’s crisis on the interference of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

He said, “The recent outbreak of violence at the National Secretariat of the Union is due to the biased interference of the NLC for selfish reasons.

“We expect them to respect our determination to ensure the emergence of a democratically elected National leadership for NURTW at the forthcoming Quadrennial Delegates Conference.” But, reacting to the allegations, the NLC spokesperson, Benson Upah, described the allegations as fallacious.Upah said, “The allegations are fallacious and laced with malice. It is completely unfounded. We do not run our affiliate unions but whenever they come to us to help resolve some issues, with facts and figures, we intervene dispassionately. Whoever made that statement is very unfair to the leadership of the NLC.
