The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has affirmed readiness to increase its support in the protection of Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWD) in Nigeria.

Commandant General, of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, , Ahmed Audi, has ordered the setting up of disability duty desks across its commands nationwide to scale up support and protection of Person’s Living with Disabilities, .

Speaking through his Deputy Command General, in charge of Administration, Zakari Ningi, at the inauguration of the Disability Duty Desk Officers, the CG affirmed his readiness to give full-scale support to the protection of persons living with disabilities in the country. “On our part, we have set up the disability desk in all our formations across the country to assist in protecting and attending to issues of abuse or stigmatisation against PLWDs in the country”
