NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Dsc Emeka Okwechime disclosed this in a statement signed and made available to DAILY POST.

He said the suspects jumped into rivers and swamps upon sighting men of the Rejigged Anti-Vandal Squad. Dsc Okwechime said plain cloth personnel have been strategically positioned within the nooks and crannies of the Local Government Area in a determined effort to arrest the fleeing suspects. According to him,” large metal tanks, drums containing petroleum product suspected to be AGO, hose, used by the vandals and other equipment, instrument used in the illegal dealings in petroleum product were crushed and set ablaze by the NSCDC RAS.”

Would it be a bad idea if the Federal Ministry of Science and the Technology gathers all the illegal oil refiners, train them, put them in groups, give them the necessary support, and license them to refine oil? To me, talents are being wasted in this area.
