A brace from Madaki Alkali of Katsina United was able to turn the table against visiting Gombe United while stealthily coasting to victory with a one goal

lead in the first half of the match played at the Muhammadu Dikko Township Stadium in Katsina on Sunday.

The visitors scored the opener and took the lead through Y. Ibrahim stunned the home team in a solo move, barely three minutes before the end of the first half. The match continued with both sides trying to find ways to increase their goal tally but this was not to be until the last minute of the added extra time when Madaki Alkali scored again to appease the already worried fan who seemed unsatisfied with the performance of the home team.
