Ad-hoc staff of the National Population Commission, NPC, who participated in the recent population trial census in Nasarawa State, yesterday protested the non payment of their allowances three months after the exercise.

They appealed to the chairman of the commission to intervene to ensure immediate payment of their allowances.

The NPC nationwide trial census which took place between 13th and 30th July 2022, was conducted by over 4000 field functionaries engaged as ad-hoc staff.for breaking news, videos, and the latest top stories in Nigeria & world news, business, politics, sports and pop culture. Speaking to our correspondent, Spokesperson for the group in Keffi zone, Mr John Adigidzi, who said he served as enumerator during the trial census, stated that most of their colleagues were paid immediately after the exercise and wondered why the NPC had not paid them over three months after.
