The Arewa Youth Alliance for Development (AYAD) has called on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to dissolve both the management of the Nigeria National

Petroleum Corporation and that of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority , as a result of the lingering fuel scarcity and the importation of bad fuel that has made life unbearable for Nigerians.

It equally urged anti-corruption agencies to go after fuel stations selling above the official price.Kure said, “The Arewa Youth Alliance for Development has noted with grave concern the protracted fuel scarcity bedevilling the country following the importation of fuel with methanolic content above our national threshold.“The disruption in the supply chain has also caused sudden inflation in the cost of transportation leading to increase in the prices of daily consumables”, the group decried.

“We have every reason to believe that some sacred cows are the elements that have thrown Nigerians into this needless hardship. “We, therefore, have every reason to suspect that the illicit profit most of the independent Oil Marketers are making is being shared between them and some staff of Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority .
