Northern Traditional Ruling Council expresses concern over Emirship tussle in Kano

The Northern Traditional Ruling Council, under the chairmanship of his Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, on Sunday expressed concern over the emirship tussle in Kano State DAILY POST recalls that the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, on Thursday, reinstated the deposed Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi, just as he sacked the existing five emirate councils.

However, in a statement on Sunday by His Royal Highness, Justice Lawal Hassan Gummi, Emir of Gummi and Chairman, Coordinating Committee Northern Traditional Rulers Council, called for restraint on the part of the disputants in the interest of peace and stability 'The Northern Traditional Ruling Council under the chairmanship of his Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, noted with concern the situation in Kano as it affects our revered institution.
