The Nigerian Ethnic Nationality Youth Leaders Forum has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to tackle challenges facing Nigeria.
The statement signed by Yerima Shettima, President, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum; Oladotun Hassan, President, Yoruba Council of Youths; Okechukwu Isiguzoro, President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council and Pereotubo Oweilaemi, also demanded a new National Dialogue document master plan to salvage the nation from imminent collapse.
“We call on President Muhammadu Buhari to order the unconditional release of Omoyele Sowore, Convener, Revolution Now Movement, who was arrested by men of the DSS over planned 5th August, 2019 mass protest revolution against the government, as his arrest will trigger civil disobedience and give the Youths the impetus to resort to Revolution Now.
“This must be done immediately to show the will power of democracy at work, and protect the civil rights of the citizens, preserved constitutional authority and sovereignty of the government, for if this shield of tacit complicity and gross abandonment persist unabatedly, it is capable of being triggered by any slightest provocative anger of the mass of the people to gravitate total shut down of the nation.
Waste of energy. This government has no ears.
