A former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, has taken a swipe at presidential aspirants from the North, South-West and the South-South, describing them as selfish and greedy.

He expressed his reservations on Monday while featuring on Politics Today, a current affairs programme onHe also criticised former President Olusegun Obasanjo and an elder statesman, leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Chief Edwin Clark, for failing to push for an Igbo president.

“Chief Clark is an elder statesman; I don’t want to talk about him. But if Chief Clark were of a good conscience, he would not be welcoming presidential candidates in his house from the South-South and South-West. He could have told them that it was the turn of the South-East. I have been saying this for two to three years that a president of Igbo extraction will solve the problem.”

“If I were President Buhari today, where we are, I would raise Lawan’s hand because we have stabilised the parliament for him. He should be very grateful to the 9th Assembly. We went through a recession, and we have made laws that helped come out of recession.” “If they have a conscience, they will not run. But they have no conscience. Obasanjo was President for eight years, Osinbajo was Vice-President for eight years, but south-easterners have never got a president for one year. How would you sleep if you were in my position? The gods of the land are asking questions in Igboland.

And the northern aspirants are what? Stop camouflaging, we know you.

Pot meet kettle.....

Where is the equity, fairness and justice if the south west that have produced both president and vice president, yet we have people like Tinubu, Osinbajo and the rest coming out to contest for president

I completely agree with Orji Uzor Kalu irrespective of what you think about him. The south claimed that the next president should be zoned to the south for equity , fairness and justice but were not bold enough to specify the exact part of the south it will be zoned to

Orji uzo is a SABO we know him

MizCazorla1 He didn't add North please. Always verify your information

Shame on all of you saying rubbish under this tweet..you want equity and you also want the presidency zoned to the south but you don't want it zoned to the east..🤣🤣..it's either the southeast or it goes back to the north..you can now cry out your eyes

This Orji Kalu has never been a straight forward politician for once he speak with both side of the mouth. Instead of him to support Igbo candidate is taking nonsense here. If they want Nigeria to remain as one southerner must emerge as president.

When somebody has a severe case of oral diarrhea plus marginal schizophrenia, he would yarn opata. So, it's the fault of the southwest that the southeast has never produced president yet, you're supporting a northern candidate over a viable southeasterner? Logic of a madman

Orji uzor kalu that supported hammed Lawan (senate President) is greediest

That should ring a bell we are not wanted in this country

I agree, especially Atiku, Tinubu and Kwankwaso

Orji, Shame on you!!

He should slave his slave on peace jàre
