ant to the Gombe State Governor, Ismaila Uba, this was part of the resolution of the North-East governors during their meeting as endorsed by the Chairman of the forum and Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum.

The statement added that the forum supported the management and Board of the North–East Development Commission and that it had agreed to work towards producing a comprehensive master plan for the region, that would ensure sustainable development. “The forum affirmed its commitment to support the Federal Government agenda of transforming the Almajiri system with a view to strengthening both Islamic and western education as well as stopping street begging and prevalence of out-of-school children in the region as agreed by the northern governors,” the statement read in part.All rights reserved.
