The Niger State Government has said it will not pay any ransom for the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Ibrahim Musa, who was abducted last week.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Muhammad Idris, noted that the government would not compromise its stance of non-payment of ransom. Idris spoke at a press briefing after the state executive council meeting at the Government House, Minna. The permanent secretary was abducted along with his daughter at night in his house in Zungeru after attending a wedding.However, the state information commissioner, Idris, said, “We are not resting on our oars. But we will not compromise our stand. We believe that there are various avenues and strategies we can deploy in getting the abducted permanent secretary free without compromising our stand.
