Lucky Aiyedatiwa, deputy governor of Ondo, says no group has his consent to protest against Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of the state.
The state assembly had initially shelved the plan but on Monday, it asked Olusegun Odusola, the chief judge of the state, to constitute a seven-member panel to probe the allegations of “gross misconduct” against Aiyedatiwa.In a statement on Tuesday, the deputy governor said he is committed to the reconciliation efforts of the APC.
“My attention has been drawn to some false publications in which it was alleged that a group loyal to me is planning to hold a protest against the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, today in Akure,” he said.“This is to inform the good and peace loving people of Ondo state that I am not aware of any such protest and no group or association has my endorsement to carry out public demonstration of any kind.
