Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on Friday, said no particular amount has been fixed for compensation to pacify members of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers in Nigeria who called off their strike on Wednesday.however, stressed the need for the traders to be compensated for their losses.had reported that the governor met the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari , as part of ongoing efforts to further pacify the northern traders.
Their President, Muhammad Tahir, had said the strike was called off following the Federal Government’s promise to pay N4.75bn compensation, stop multiple taxes and ensure protection of their members, among others. “What Mr President has directed is that I should liaised with the police and other security agencies to ensure lives are secured and that extortion stops.”
A country that seeks to foster unity among its people should never be considering anything like 'compensation for Northern traders' using our common wealth. Everyone should be compensated likewise! Show me one section of the country that didn't suffer losses on endsars!
Compensation for what!? What about the people killed in my community. Who's gonna bring them back to life.this a big shame on Nigeria.
Why? Cheese in the brain🙃🤐
I don't know who asked him to be a solicitor when no one is crying for food. All the terrorist in the North has been receiving millions, it's the turn of trader's. I thought their people said by one Month we shall see, ta lebi wa pa ba yi.
