Lagos State government has said that no child is worth dying from a vaccine-preventable disease in the state.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Titilayo Goncalves, at a training on polio in Lagos yesterday tagged ‘Kick Out Polio Now’, called on stakeholders to work with the government to vaccinate every child.

The four-day campaign, which commences activities for the second round of 2019 Polio Vaccination Campaign, is aimed at halting the spread of polio virus and reducing the number of unimmunised children in the state. Goncalves said the campaign to be officially flagged off by the governor’s wife, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, tomorrow, would end on June 18.
