The Federal Government says there is no cause for worry by air travelers in the country regarding the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft which, according to it, is not in Nigeria’s aviation register.
While acknowledging that any accident anywhere is a tragedy to the global aviation industry, the minister said the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority , has issued the necessary advisory as it relates to the country. He asked the Nigerian flying public not to entertain any fears, assuring them “of the unalloyed commitment of the Buhari Administration to the creation of an environment that guarantees their safety and security in air transportation”.

Nigeria does not have helicopter not to talk of aeroplane
Yea, despite the plan to purchase 10.
It is not about operating one. You ban it from your airspace so that no airline can fly it INTO your airspace.
This country cannot even afford a runway to land an airbus A380. So, they shouldn’t be opening their mouth when countries with credible records are talking. If they want to start from where others began, they should go and fix electricity which we haven’t had since 1960.
How can we have when we don’t even have a National Carrier? 🤷🏽♀️
God forbid that I’ll take Nigeria news serious...wettin the minister know...mtcheew
It's not just about whether or not we have Nigerian airlines with such aircraft it should be banned from our airspace for now. And I hope it's just a rumour that air peace placed orders for the aircraft.
i would have said may b Nigeria used her yearly budget to purchased the aircraft lol😀
We get plane? Abeg forget it
If it were operating here I wonder how many lives would have been lost already. Thank God it's yet here
No Boeing 737 max in Nigeria not because of its faulty technical structure or recent crashes but our airlines can't afford it. They are waiting for airlines in USA, China, Ethiopia etc. to sell to them after being fairly used. God will deliver my country.
We have 737s in Nigeria but none of those are the MAX8 variant. Airpeace did place orders for the MAX8 but none has been delivered yet.
Who is this man? Air peace just bought three of the aircraft.
One of d advantages of an underdeveloped economy & society. They don't deem us important to fly a new technology into our airspace & monies dat are meant to buy by local operators must have been embezzled. So, we're safe. But, we lost one of our brightest talent. I'm just sad.
Fairly used Boeing 737 Max go soon enter Naija. This one most countries are banning them
For now. Until Airpeace gets the 10 they ordered for which I hope for the sake of public safety they cancel that order
Knee jerk reaction, as usual.
Mtscheeeew....yeye. As if he will know when he sees one. Olodo!
Abeg we get aircraft before? Is it not push and start airplanes the few airlines we have use? This one just wants to talk. Don't angry me this hot afternoon...
They should ban the aircraft from our airspace, thing is falling out of the sky.
It would have been surprising to hear that we have that here knowing how old and outdated majority of our planes here are.
😂😂people are talking Nigeria wen no get standard airport sef wee be talking!
Tell him Air Peace ordered for them!
but on Boeing’s website, they’ve arik and air peace as customers
Our airport is still leaking please fix that Boeing with fix their planes but will you fix the airport
I would have been surprised if Nigeria had one... Under development champions. Ordinary national carriers was a sham. unfollowchannelstv
Of course not, we only buy fairly used
Because all aircraft operating in Nigeria is not less than 25 - 30 years old.
