Some suspected hoodlums, on Friday, attacked some officials of the Oyo State Independence Electoral Commission, OYSIEC when conveying election materials fixed for Saturday.

The local government election is holding on Saturday in all the 33 local government councils across the state. While a source from the agrarian community said the materials were seized by the people, the State Chairman, OYSIEC, Barrister Isiaka Olagunju who confirmed the attack said no materials were snatched.

Barrister Olagunju while dismissing the allegations said, “That is not true. The fact is that there was an attack on our officials last night.”
