The Nigerian Labour Congress has said that it was not going back on its plan to embark on a strike action on September 28 over the government's refusal to reverse the increase in the prices of petrol and electricity tariff.
National Executive Council of the organisation reached the conclusion at the end of a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday afternoon.According to NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, the decision to proceed with the planned industrial action was unanimously taken by leaders of the union across the 36 states and FCT in the country.
Recall that the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency had announced an increase in the price of premium motor spirit better known as petrol while the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission also increased electricity tariff from N30.23 to N62.33 per kwh.
Wicked idiot
This one wey NLC vows so the thing be like say they done collect money for lunch be that. Nah today
The NLC leaders are just waking up from sleep, where were they when the first increase was done. I believe this NLC leaders are looking for settlement from the FG, .... I will only believe them when the FG will reverse the hikes to their formal prices.
And food stuffs too!
Na today . All talk no action
and not fuel?
Don't strike ooooo don't wanna celebrate independence Day in strike oooo
There is no NLC under Buhari's govt. They are just making noise.
Unnecessary
Unfortunately, all the labor union leaders have been compromised; effectively it is going to be all motion without movement. They have all become toothless bulldogs.
This NLC chairman is a weakly , plenty talk no action.
Abeg jor! Words, words, and no single action!
We v moved on. We no need their shenanigan strike biko. They want to fight for their pocket abi?
This people allow them to pay salaries first o and don't be greedy.
If NLC has a better solution to lingering problems facing Nigeria both in the oil and power sectors, where we outsource Nigerians jobs, by subsidising products produced by another country. They should proffer it before going on clueless strike.
Yes ooooo!!!!
Toothless bulldog.
You are out of your mind
They better do
oguntolasunday2 Thank you for the still focused we must free our people oo
Strike fueled by ignorance. Government says it can no pay for subsidy both in petroleum products and electricity. It’s good to pay more attention to the Government’s argument rather than unnecessary heating of the polity through civil strife.
We are solidly behind them.
They should goan sit down one side
Too much talk and no action.
I don't trust them one bit. This is just a smokescreen.
NLC na toothless bull dog
Nlc na apc make them go sidon
Toothless bulldog.
Pls they should stop ✋🏽 that was how we supported Adams oshiomole those days before he turn himself into something else
Nonsense!!! No work no pay. Face reality. The country/government is broke and they will attend to other people who are not on their payroll, like MSMEs. You should rather insist they reduce their salaries and allowances.
I hope no be say you want take us play politics.
NLC are in Buhari's pocket already. Nigerians knows it
They've been vowing for as long as I can remember .
No government have subdued every angle in Nigeria like APC has done. They don't care if you vote them or not. They just rig in the polls or in the Supreme Court. They can do anything and go away with it. IPOB is their only nightmare.
Did they just woke up from their sleep?
Long after we have adjusted to the inflationary quantum economics of fuel price hike, electricity tarrifs.. Etc... 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
They are awake from slumber
Audio Strike
Too late.. It will not be a success
NLC all talks no action.
Apt.
