The suspects were said to be in a Volkswagen Sharon vehicle with number plate LKJ 739 BJ along the Kaduna-Abuja highway at Sabon-Wuse Tafa Local Government Area when they were caught.
The suspects, Mohammed Sani, Hakimi Abdullahi, Aminu Bello, Buhari Abdullahi, Tasiu Abdullahi, Bello Auwal, Kabiru Abubakar, Abdullahi Dabo and Babangida Ibrahim, were immediately arrested. The command’s spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun, said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the nine men specialise in targeting and monitoring faulty trucks along Abuja-Kaduna, Keffi-Jos, Nasarawa-Akwanga and Minna-Suleja Roads.
