The Nation Newspaper NIN enrollment is free, says NIMC, urges Nigerians to report extortion

The Commission advised members of the public to report any incident of extortion or any form of harassment in the course of enrollment.

Coker-Odusote said the Commission has a zero-tolerance policy for such misconduct, as it would not tolerate any act of extortion or harassment of citizens at enrollment centres. She added: “We want to strongly condemn and address such unlawful activities. It is crucial to emphasize that these actions are not only unethical but also illegal.“NIMC has been made aware of certain reports involving some Front End Partners who were allegedly extorting money from members of the public for NIN enrollment even as they are currently being subjected to a revalidation process.
