The National Youth Service Corps says it has paid insurance benefits to the family of a corps member, Omale Victor EB/21A/1487, who went missing in 2021 during his service year in Ebonyi State. The Ebonyi State Police Command had in 2021 declared the 24-year-old serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) missing. Omale, who hails from Kogi State, was serving with the Ebonyi State Agency for Mass Literacy located along old Enugu/Abakaliki Road by Presbyterian Church Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki before he was reported missing.

The National Youth Service Corps says it has paid insurance benefits to the family of a corps member, Omale Victor EB/21A/1487, who went missing in 2021 during his service year in Ebonyi State. Omale, who hails from Kogi State, was serving with the Ebonyi State Agency for Mass Literacy located along old Enugu/Abakaliki Road by Presbyterian Church Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki before he was reported missing.

However in a statement signed by Eddy Megwa, Director, Press and Public Relations of the commission, on Thursday, the Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General YD Ahmed while handing over the cheque to his parents, Mr Omale Samuel and Mrs Omale Elizabeth at their residence in Lokoja, said the scheme would continue to identify with the family.
