The Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, has blamed the shortage of diesel as the reason for the delay of the Abuja-Kaduna train movement on Monday. This was stated in a release by Pascal Nnorli, Manager, Abuja-Kaduna Train Service (AKTS), while apologising to the passengers He explained that the delay was due to a shortage in the supply of diesel. He stated that the AGO received fell short of the required standard and was outright rejected following a statutory laboratory test.

The Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, has blamed the shortage of diesel as the reason for the delay of the Abuja-Kaduna train movement on Monday. The manager said the test is carried out on all liquid “used on the rolling stock, locomotives inclusive, to ensure that the right specifications are utilised.”

SaharaReporters had reported that the Abuja-Kaduna train service resumed on December 5, 2022, after an eight-month hiatus due to a terrorist attack.After the release of seven captives in July, the final batch of 23 was released in October.

NRC you need to wake up to deliver good maintenance/services to the public & corrupt this sector like the Military impunity that led to the closure of NRC in the 1990s. We escaped this accident few weeks back after the train almost derailed around Ajaokuta. Nothing corrected. 1
