1. Five months after, the United Arab Emirates has lifted the flight ban on Nigerian travellers with effect from Thursday August 5. Emirates announced on its website that eligible travellers from Nigeria and 10 other countries will be allowed to travel to/through the UAE.

3. Twenty-three persons have been confirmed dead in a diarrhea outbreak across 13 local government areas of Sokoto State. The Commissioner of Health, Dr. Ali Inname, who confirmed the deaths, said 265 people, most of whom reside in rural areas, were so far affected. 5. Mike Ozekhome, Senior advocate of Nigeria , has said the Federal Bureau of Investigation cannot treat Abba Kyari, a Deputy Commissioner of police , like a common criminal. In an interview on Tuesday, the lawyer said Kyari is safe under the Nigerian law and cannot be just extradited to the US.

7. Two children and seven adults have been reportedly abducted at Anguwar Kwankwashe in Suleja, Niger State. An eyewitness said the kidnappers invaded some houses and a hotel around 1:35am on Tuesday.
