1. The Federal Government, yesterday, re-introduced a nationwide 12 am to 4 am curfew to curtail further spread of COVID-19. The National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Mohammed, disclosed this at the briefing of the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 in Abuja.

3. The Federal Government yesterday declared Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th May, 2021 as Public Holidays to mark 2021 Eidul-Fitr celebration. The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, disclosed this in Abuja, while congratulating Muslims on this occasion. 5. The Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday said its office in Ohafia LGA in Abia State was razed by suspected arsonists. Festus Okoye, the INEC spokesman, who made this known in a statement said the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday.

7. The Nigerian Army said its soldiers fighting bandits in the North West have killed 48 of them and rescued 18 persons held hostage in the first phase of its newly launched Operation Tsare Mutane, to flush out the criminals. Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, made the disclosure, in a statement yesterday.
