1. At least, 30 persons were killed when bandits attacked a market in the eastern part of Sokoto State on Sunday. Traders and buyers at Goronyo weekly Market in Goronyo Local Government Area of the State, were reportedly killed in the incident.

3. The Federal Government has accused the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra , Nnamdi Kanu, of inciting the violence which has gripped some parts of the country. This is contained in the evidence of the amended seven-count charges brought against Kanu before a Federal High Court in Abuja, where he is facing allegations of treasonable felony and terrorism.

5. The Kogi State Executive Council has approved the appointment of Prince Mathew Alhaji Opaluwa as the Attah of Igala Kingdom. The council made the approval during the 6th meeting held at the Council Hall of the Government House in Lokoja on Monday. 8. The Federal Government says it has taken delivery of the final batch of the 12 A-29 Super Tucano fighter jets expected from the United States. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this on Monday during an interview.
