1. At least, 11 people have been killed while 13 others sustained various degrees of injury when gunmen attacked communities in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State. The police spokesman in Katsina, SP Gambo Isa, said bandits in their numbers, attacked the community with AK 47 rifles and gunned down 11 residents.

3. Residents of Askira town in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State fled when Boko Haram fighters attacked a village on Wednesday. While some residents fled into bushes and surrounding mountains for safety, a military convoy reportedly escorted the traditional ruler of the area out of the town.

5. The Senate on Wednesday approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s loan request of $16, 230, 077, 718 billion, €1,020,000,000 billion, under the 2018-2020 External Borrowing plan. A statement signed by the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan’s spokesman, Ezrel Tabiowo, said the approval followed the consideration of a report by the House Committee on Local and Foreign Debt.

7. The Federal Government may consider all kinds of solutions, including political ones, in order to resolve the crisis surrounding separatist agitations in Nigeria. This was disclosed by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami , on Wednesday in an interview with journalists in Abuja.
