A stray bullet from military personnel on Saturday killed a nine-year-old named Zainab Bala-Umar at Gwanki Ward, Makarfi Local Government during the ongoing local government elections in Kaduna State. Police Public Relations Officer, Kaduna State Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige confirmed the incident.

3. Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar was in his home town in Adamawa State on Saturday to receive defectors into the Peoples Democratic Party .
