The Nigerian Ambassador to Indonesia, Usman Ogah, has returned to his duty post in Jakarta, Indonesia, weeks after he was recalled from the Asian country.

It was gathered on Monday that Ogah was directed to return to Indonesia after briefing the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama on the incident.Viral footage had shown Ibrahim being strangulated by some officials in a moving vehicle. But Harahap insisted that the incident was triggered by Ibrahim’s refusal to identify himself when accosted by the immigration officers, adding that he injured one of the men during a scuffle.

“With the return of the ambassador and the assaulted diplomat to their foreign post, and the ministry of foreign affairs keeping mum on the issue, this means the matter has been settled and the case is closed,” the official added.
