Two Immigration officers have been banned by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria , for extorting a 14-year-old passenger at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.This was revealed by the mother of the teenager, identified as Imoteda, who had raised the alarm on Twitter, noting that her child was extorted and left with no money to travel abroad.“My 14-year-old daughter, fourteen, is travelling by herself.“Immigration took all her money before they let her go.

This is about the dumbest penalty meted by an agencies to erring officers who extorted a minor when traveling. The penalty is so sickling it suggest the agency is complicit in such act. At least they shd be demoted or outrightly dismissed. So they posted elsewhere to continue.
So they can't be prosecuted or what? Can you imagine!!!

9ija airports especially Lagos is something else. I told myself I won't go there again. I remember as if it was yesterday what these immigration officers did to me and my wife who was on her first visit to 9ija. I ask God not to let me go there again.
